"Let's make prevention a priority - because the best intervention is the one you never have to make."
Every young person deserves the chance to build a life free from the impact of drugs, but the reality is that many are navigating pressures and choices they’re simply not prepared for. Prevention is the key—not through fear, but through connection, honesty, and empowerment.
When I speak to students, I’m not just delivering a presentation. I’m sharing my lived experience. As someone who has battled addiction and spent time in prison, I know firsthand where poor choices can lead. I also know what it takes to turn things around.
Young people need more than warnings. They need real role models—people who can speak to them authentically, who they can relate to and respect. My story helps students see the long-term impact of their choices, but it also shows them that they have the power to make better decisions now.
My talks are designed to inspire, challenge, and educate. They go beyond statistics and scare tactics, focusing instead on giving students the tools to build resilience, self-awareness, and the confidence to say no when it matters most. It’s about meeting them where they are and guiding them to where they can go.
I’m currently taking bookings for April–July 2025 and the 2025/26 academic year.
Whether you’re a teacher, school leader, or part of a wider educational community, let’s work together to make prevention a priority. Preventing the first day isn’t just easier than fixing the worst day—it’s how we ensure those worst days never happen.
Because every young person deserves a chance to write a better story.
I look forward to hearing from you.
James
